A meeting was held between Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, the UAE Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, and Agnes Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Energy Transition in France, at the Paris headquarters of the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
The two sides discussed bilateral ties between the UAE and France, particularly in the energy sector, specifically in clean energy. They also discussed ways to boost cooperation and develop renewable energy sources. Several issues of mutual concern were also discussed, including joint climate action and preparations for COP28 at Expo City Dubai in 2023.
